Visiting Team forms
Here's a list of all the materials you may want to use to adopt a street and start knocking on doors:
Service Team forms
Forms you may find helpful in organizing a service team:

Printed Materials
Notes and printing problems
You will have to print on both sides of the paper for most of these
materials, pay attention to whether your printer is set to print in landscape or
portrait mode and if your printer automatically prints on both sides (duplex
printing) note which edge it is set to "flip" on.
If any materials do not print properly for you, contact us at
and we'll walk you through it or figure out what changes we need to make in
order to make it work for you.
Homeless Meal Box
You might like this idea to help homeless people too. Put this sign on
a can or box and leave it at a friendly restaurant. It also gets the word
out for the LYNC Network.

LYNC Network Invitation
This is our favorite and latest invitation. It includes the same brief
description of the network that is in the contact card, but also has places to
write specific needs and events going on in your neighborhood! They do not
have to get on the internet, but right there at the door while you are talking
to them, they can see what is going on in the neighborhood. Of course that
is at the moment of printing the invitation (or filling it out). So you
want to keep it current by printing or filling out only as many as you expect to
use that day.
One 8.5"x11" sheet makes 2 invitations. Print both sides, then cut it
in half and fold it "offset" from the centerline so the Network name displays on
the bottom when it is closed, and the same name is there when you open it as
well.
LYNCN/DVD-Invitations/Downloads/Invitation.pdf
PDF file for printing only, has to be filled out by hand.
LYNCN/DVD-Invitations/Downloads/Invitation.pub
Publisher file, can be customized to include contact info, current events,
needs, etc. and printed with computer to save handwriting the specific events
and needs.
Front (folded- Network name at the bottom is
printed on the inside and it is folded off center):

LYNC Network Contact Cards
Folded Contact Card is slightly bigger than a business card with a concise
description of the LYNC Network. Perfect for giving to those who have high speed
internet and can access the web site easily.
Fold the contact card so it looks like this from the front
Pro Life Contact Cards that also offer crisis pregnancy and
adoption help
Interactive LYNC Network booklet
Perfect for giving to someone who does not have a computer and is too busy to
talk at the moment. The interactive booklet has all the LYNC Network details,
including a Gospel presentation. It is laid out like a printed web site!
It's
made from 8 pieces of normal 8.5 x 11 paper folded in half. That makes 32
pages front and back! It requires a long reach stapler to fasten together
neatly.

Field forms
The Field form is needed for Street Adoption and tracking visitation.
It is a convenient way to remember where you have visited, what that guy's name
was, and what materials you left them.

Registration Form
Everyone who helps and gets help, or uses any of the LYNC Network
communication tools gets registered on the web site, even if they don't have a
computer. It is the only way to make sure nobody is forgotten. The
registration form has lots of details that the field form does not have.
This form collects all the info you need for registration, as well as other info
you may need to post the help request or offer of volunteer service.

invitation.
Service Team Forms
Tool Sign out sheets
To help you keep track of tools loaned to your service team and tools
borrowed from volunteers each day.
Computer CD
You can burn
your own CDs for distribution.
If you are viewing this from the CD version someone gave you, just make
copies of it. If you are viewing the website on the internet you will need
to:
-
Download the zip file below
-
Unzip it. If you don't have a program to unzip it:
-
Then burn all the
files onto a CD.
(When you paste the files into your writeable CD folder to be burned
you may get a message saying there will be some information on the files lost,
tell it to copy the file anyway. The CD needs all the files copied and the
lost info will not hurt a thing.)
The CD will auto run on Windows computers and has Firefox on the disc in the
unlikely event they do not have a browser on their computer. If they do
not have windows, any computer
with a web browser can open the "index.htm" file manually.
This file is 17 megabytes so you will probably want high
speed internet to download it. If you have a dial up connection it would
be worth asking a friend with high speed to download it for you. If you want to try dial up
it would be wise to use a download manager.
Download managers
If you don't know about download managers, they are helpful for dial up
internet accounts. They pick you up where you left off if you get
disconnected. It's been so long since I used dial up, maybe they are built
into the browsers now, but used to be if you got cut off during a download you
had to start over again unless you had a download manager, in which case it
would pick up where it left off when the connection was lost.
Managers are often free, here is one we have used before:
