What is it in the Bible that convinces you that you are forgiven?

This will take a little thought.  The choices below are all a bit similar, but each item offers a different "reason" for receiving God's forgiveness.  I want to find out which reason you are putting your trust in.

Please choose which statement below best matches the source of your confidence?

God promises if you have tried hard and done the best you can, even if you fail- if you ask forgiveness, "He is faithful and just to forgive you"

Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments.  Because of my love for Him, though I'm not perfect, I have tried to keep His commands, and I know He forgives me for not being perfect.

Faith without works is dead.  Jesus died on the cross for me, so I can be forgiven, but I have to obey the commands of scripture or my faith is dead.

The Bible teaches us that God is love, and that love overlooks and forgives the wrongs we have done against God.

I have failed God miserably.  I have no goodness of my own.  God has provided a way to pay the penalty for my sin, and give me His righteousness.
