The Love Your Neighbor Christian Network exists because Christians care about their neighbors, and we care about you.  We want to help people with their physical needs, but we believe the most important thing we can do is to help people to know Jesus, and receive His free gift of eternal life.

Some people feel Christians are narrow minded, and certainly many of us have been rude and inconsiderate in dealing with those that do not believe what we believe.  But there is a legitimate reason that even a caring Christian might be viewed as narrow minded.  The Bible does actually teach that Jesus is the only way to the Father, in fact Jesus said those very words Himself!

So yes, inherent in the teaching of Christianity is an "exclusivity" that one must believe in Jesus and His atonement (sacrifice for our sins) in order to gain a right relationship with God.

It is not intolerance or meanness that motivates most Christians to believe and share this fact, but they speak out of a faith in what God said and a concern for the souls of those they love.

Let's be honest, many other religions also believe their teachings are exclusively correct.  But as we discussed in this dialog, there is an absolute truth about God, and it is critical that we know what it is.

The difference in Christianity is that God supernaturally came to earth to become a man and take the punishment for our sins, it is not just a set of philosophies or rules to obey, but a solution to mankind's sin problem provided by God Himself.  God confirmed the claims of Jesus by raising Him from the dead.  There is good reason why the life and death of Christ are the center of human history.

Sadly, those that decide to reject that gift of forgiveness through the sacrifice of Christ die in their sins, and there is no hope. The Bible does not teach that there is a purgatory, or a second chance after this life.  The wrath of God abides on those who have not received His free gift of forgiveness through Christ, and they will spend eternity in Hell.

Please take the time to read What hell is like according to the Bible.

If Jesus is who HE said he was then the Bible is true, and man is guilty.  We all need to embrace His awesome gift of love, His very life.

But I understand that not everyone will believe this. That does not mean we stop loving you, or even wanting to be your friends.  If you need help, LYNC Network members and other Christians will be here for you.  And we still welcome any service you'd like to give to your neighbors through the LYNC Network.  No one knows you made this decision in this dialog, and it doesn't have to be permanent!

We hope that whatever is blocking your acceptance of God's greatest gift will one day be removed.
